- Overview
Miklós took a degree in English Language and Literature / EFL teaching from Eötvös University, Hungary in 1999. By 2000 he had attended several universities abroad and became an English Language assessor for today’s ORIGO Nyelvi Centrum. From then on he also led preparatory courses for students applying for Eötvös University’s English Programme, until 2007.
Between 2008-2017 he lived in the United Kingdom working in state education as well as a private tutor, meeting hundreds of students and visiting over sixty schools in London.
He acquired CELTA qualification in 2010.
Since 2018 he has been working on a contractual basis for Oxford Summer Courses and for the University of Oxford Language Centre as an academic manager and EFL tutor teaching EAP (English for Academic Purposes), respectively.
Since 2018 he has worked as an EFL teacher and later as Head of Department at Budapest’s Orchidea School.
From 2019 he has worked as a language teacher at ELTE Faculty of Arts, Foundation Programme, and for IBS.
His main areas of professional interest are using writing for general foreign language development and breaking down general writing skills intro various subtasks.
He has produced several tasks for OnyC’s listening comprehension examinations.
His other professional skills include: IELTS exam preparation, oral assessment/ interlocutor (for ECL, B2-C1 level examination).
