Academic requirements:

High school diploma and a certified English translation of your high school diploma if it is not in English.

• 3 A level and 5 O level exams

• Other international secondary or post-secondary qualification will be considered individually.

English skills:

Prospective students must demonstrate at least B2-level English proficiency. This can be proven through one of the following:

1. Achieving a score of over 60% on an advanced-level English final exam,
2. Submitting an official document from their secondary school stating that the language of instruction was English,
3. Native speaker of English (based on passport citizenship),
4. Providing one of the accepted English language certificates listed below:

• The International English Language Testing System (IELTS, General) with a minimum overall score of 6.0 points 
• The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 72 in the iBT version
• Cambridge Certificate with a minimum score of 169 (B2 First, B2 Business Vantage)
• International GCSE English as a Second Language with a score of C or higher on extended curriculum
• London University GCE O level Syllabus, minimum B in English Language
• Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum score of 50
• EUROEXAM B2 level certificate
• A B2 level English language certificate
• LCCI certificate with a minimum score of 60
• Duolingo English Test with a minimum score of 105
• Hungarian high-level English language baccalaureate exam with a minimum result of 60%
• Oxford Test of English Advanced: Overall score min. 111
• CELPIP with a minimum score of 7
• CAEL with a minimum score of 50

As a one-time special offer, IBS will cover the fee for the Duolingo English Test for applicants who do not have any of the other accepted English language certifications. To qualify, applicants must present their Duolingo test result to IBS and begin their studies in September 2025. The test fee will be deducted from the tuition fee payment.

If you do not have the sufficient English level required for BSc studies, you can improve your English skills on the International University Foundation programme. If you reach B2 level after the first semester of the Foundation programme, you can start your BSc studies in the next intake.

Academic requirements:

All MSc programmes:

• first- or second-class Bachelor's degree in any field of study.(they are conversion programmes)

MBA in Strategic Data-Driven Management: 

• Bachelor's degree in any field of study,
• transcript with at least one module in mathematics or finance,
• CV,
• work reference of 3-5 years,
• motivation letter

Mature students not meeting the above requirements should contact us with their complete application documentation, which will be considered on an individual basis.

English skills:

Prospective students must demonstrate at least C1-level English proficiency, and MSc applicants are required to pass an Orientation Interview.

Applicants may prove their English proficiency through one of the following:

1. Submitting an official document from their university stating that the language of instruction was English,
2. Native speaker of English (based on passport citizenship),
3. Providing one of the accepted English language certificates listed below:

• The International English Language Testing System (IELTS, General) with a minimum overall score of 6.5 points 
• The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 79 in the iBT version
• Cambridge Certificate with a minimum score of 176 (C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency)
• Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum score of 58
• A C1 level English language certificate
• LCCI certificate with a minimum score of 60
• Duolingo English Test with a minimum score of 120
• EUROEXAM C1 level certificate
• Oxford Test of English Advanced: Overall score min. 141
• CELPIP with a minimum score of 8
• CAEL with a minimum score of 60

This is a one-year English language programme with some business preparatory classes, with groups from pre-intermediate to upper-intermediate level. Non-EU students must have a high school diploma to be able to attend.
