Zsófia Gyarmathy wrote her doctoral dissertation in the field of mathematical linguistics at the Heinrich Heine University, Düsseldorf. After a few years in academia, doing research and teaching in logic and semantics, she gravitated toward coding and data science and has been doing freelance work in this area for some time now. She is chiefly interested in the pre-deployment stages of the data analysis process, from the more mundane data wrangling through exploratory analysis to predictive modelling. She is a visiting lecturer at IBS Budapest.
